Borosilicate glass is the firm glass which has no impact of high temperature. It is generally famous by its trademarked name, Pyrex. It is the combination of Silica and boron oxide as the main ingredients. The biggest benefit of using this glass in cooking is that it never melts even if it is exposed to high hot temperature too, as it is normal thing that lot of heat is produced while cooking and sometimes if the delicate glass is used the food cannot remain for long time. While using borosilicate glass in laboratory work, we can clearly differentiate between a delicate glass and the strong one, as the chemicals used in it are needed to be kept in the jars which are stronger and firm enough to hold the hot and poignant chemicals too. In industries too where so much heat is produced only borosilicate glass is safer to use. Glass ceramic is having strong resistance power, as the making process of these glasses is totally divergent from other glasses. It never fractures even as you think about normal glass in which you pour hot tea; you will see that it sometimes fractures and tea comes out of the glass or the glass tumbler. So this is must that the purpose of the product should be solved. This is the common phenomenon that glass houses or products were always tagged as the delicate ones but these days this traditional thinking is totally changing. People are using glass as the symbol of beauty and permanency. There are different kinds of glasses which are made strong or delicate according to their usage. Glass ceramic is used in so many vessels, products, pots and is used for decorative purposes as well as other purposes too.
