The world of e-Commerce is growing at a pace that was never expected at least a decade ago. Today we have online shopping solutions for almost everything or every single product made by any company. Online supply chains and stores are challenging real time stores with attractive purchase schemes and discounts that are intended to draw customer attraction. Today when we want to buy something the first choice that comes to our mind is whether the product is available for direct buying through the internet. The notion that products are much cheaper in the internet has influenced shoppers far and wide.

One of the biggest platforms of online sales is undoubtedly eBay. The American giant is one of the world’s largest companies in terms of customer out reach and they have presence in over 130 countries worldwide. They are leaders in internet sales especially in the bid and buy category. There are several design stores that base their core commerce activities on the eBay model and the basic idea behind this is the huge success enjoyed by eBay itself. The company when started was criticised by many as to the fact that people will not buy products from the internet as everyone would love to visit a store and try out a product before making the payment for it. But the immense success enjoyed by eBay silenced all critics and today eBay has over a Billion customers doing business through their portals every year.

The main competitor to eBay is of course without a doubt Amazon but both offer distinct advantages over each other. So on a revenue basis eBay does stand out but Amazon is fast catching up. Several business models have been envisaged keeping in mind the importance of an enterprise wide e commerce business portal like eBay. Several design concepts of eBay stores have hit the market which facilitate easy online business and these so called eBay Stores are now gaining international fame and acceptance and before long they are sure to become the next big thing in online commerce or more affectionately referred to by Business analysts worldwide as e-Commerce.

Today you have numerous eBay Design stores that will help small scale online commerce portals do better sales and transactions by providing easier and simpler user interfaces and thus facilitating better business by guaranteeing a good inflow of customers or user traffic both of which are favourable for site owners.

Thus we can conclude that eBay is indeed a global platform for various enterprises both big and small to adopt as a unique design and conceptual adaptation.
