The city of smiles, Phuket has become the most popular beach destination in South-East Asia. Phuket offers several exotic beaches along with the sun and the sand and is the largest island of Thailand. It has something to satisfy every appetite, from the best hotels in the world, adventures of exploring the rain forest of Ko Yao and of course miles of sandy coastline which boasts of water sports, delectable restaurants and decadent resorts. There are a lot of package tour providers to Thailand and if only the most exotic beach, sun and sand are of interest than there is no better place than Phuket. This place offers an aromatic night life with a rich cuisine and the night market of old Phuket Town. Even with its small size, it offers a range of activities and places to visit. Some of the most popular activities and places to visit are Phang Nga Bay which is located north east of Phuket, it offers an unforgettable experience with its limestone cliffs that stands vertically out of the emerald-green waters. James Bond Island and Koh Panyee are just two of the more famous spots in this bay.

Apart from beaches, if local culture and place of worship are of interest than Wat Chalong in Chalong and Phuket temples should be in the to-do list. Many tour packages offer hotels and resorts with a beautiful view and most of these packages cover a guided tour to most of the places mentioned. With thousands of visitors each year, it is the most important temple in Phuket and is the spiritual center of Phuket Island . On special holidays, Wat Chalong hosts “Country Fairs” which will whet your appetite with the local flavours. Another place of interest is the Big Buddha, Chalong, located at the top of Nakkerd Hills is 45 meters high and is visible from most of south Chalong. Thai Boxing also known as Muay Thai is an electrifying spectacle to watch. Rapidly gaining popularity all over the world, Muay Thai is also the national sport of Thailand.
