Everybody is dreaming of having a good and profitable sales team

in multi-level marketing. The sad thing is, many multi-level

marketing sales teams have suffered from massive bleeding of

personnel starting from the team's bottom rank and file and is

keeping on moving up from time to time.

Among the reasons why people, mostly downline members, leave

sales teams is the lack of proper motivation by team leaders or

company officials. That is why many recruited downline feel that

they have no growth in a company, or that the working

environment is not conducive for them. So, they leave.

Here are nine easy ways for you to stop massive bleeding in your

downline but also to keep your organization strong and your

downline motivated properly.

1. Newsletter

Prepare a newsletter of regular frequency (like on a weekly

basis) and send it out to your downline, containing brief tips

in succeeding in multi-level marketing. You have to let your

downline know you care. You could make use of your newsletter to

acknowledge achievements, praise key members of your team, give

simple tips and worthy advice, among others.

2. Free newsgroup

A newsgroup could be great tool in promoting teamwork. A

newsgroup could enable your team members in helping out each

other. It could set your team apart as well as making it seem so

special. You should visit your newsgroup as frequent as

possible, often giving as well as requesting feedback. You have

to assure your downline that you are visiting the newsgroup

regularly. You might also even want to post a regular schedule

to let the team members that you have know the time and date you

will be visiting the newsgroup. In that way, if your downline

ask for some feedback or remark from you, they would know your

scheduled next visit in the newsgroup will be.

You could use the weekly newsletter advised in step one in

promoting your newsgroup. Do encourage team members in taking

advantage of your newsgroup. If possible, put a separate section

of the newsletter on issues raised in your newsgroup. Free

newsgroups are available at sites like Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

3. Setting up your free forum

A free forum is very similar in many ways to the newsgroup. A

forum could even have more features than a simple newsgroup. A

forum could also be used as a complement or instead of having a

news group.

4. Blog

Blogs can be used in complementing your newsletter. A blog could

be an additional tool in keeping contact with your downline and

showing them that you care. It is recommended having some quick

tips and tools that you could post from time to time, maybe like

at least once per week in the blog. A blog could also be a good

place in posting timely updates.

It would be better that you also have the weekly newsletter in

the blog to make it easy for your downline in seeing previous

newsletters. Try to encourage the team members in starting their

own blog sites and even offering to link the team blog to

individual blogs of team members.

5. Conference calls

Try to organize frequent conference calls. These conference

calls could be a tool for recruiting more people in your

downline. Calls such as these could also serve as a way for you

in motivating and helping your team. You might consider having

some conference calls for members on a weekly basis as well as

having conference calls on a frequent and regular basis that

could serve as recruiting period.

6. Having a buddy system

Setting up buddy groups could also be a great way in motivating

your downline. Do encourage buddy groups in having conference

calls weekly amongst themselves.

7. Contest

A contest could be a good way in motivating your downline. Try

to give offers that are of value, such as free leads, ad co-op

shares, an e-book, or even shouldering the membership fee costs

for at least a month, or possibly more.

8. Finding good leaders

Seemingly, it has become a prominently known fact that twenty

percent of downline get eight percent of the team's results. You

should look and treasure this twenty percent of your team. Set

up some time for your leaders and knowing them better. Seek

their advice on company matters and keep them motivated. Let

them know that you are there for them.

By following these steps, you are motivating your downline and

getting them involved in the business.
