Jim Corbett national park is famous largest, oldest and most beautiful national park of India. It is the majestic place for wildlife lovers. The park was established in 1936 & declared as tiger reserve in 1973 by government of India. The old name of park was ramganga national park. Mr. Jim Corbett played a great role for establishing it hence in 1956 government of India decided to change its name as Corbett to give honor to Mr. Jim Corbett for his contribution. The park is sited beside the Ramganga River. It is situated in Himalayan foothills in nanital district of uattrakhand state. The park is speared in 1320 sq. km.

With its breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife Corbett national Park can capture the imagination of anyone. It is a prefect place for holidays along with nature & wildlife. It is located between the terai and the Himalayas, the rivers, streams, and ridges crisscrossing the topography, present Corbett with an amazing variety of landscapes. This vivid mixture of habitats – wet and dry, mountainous and plain, rugged and gentle, grasslands and forests– is home for numerous plant and animal species, representing plains kinds with mountain of Himalayas. The most legendary of Corbett’s wild inhabitants are the Bengal Tiger and the Asiatic Elephant, but with around 600 species of avifauna Corbett is one of the largest bird regions of India. Grand Sal plant totally covers the lower regions of national-park 110 different tree races, 50 species of mammals, 580 species of various birds and also 25 species of reptiles, 7 species of fishes and 37 species of dragonflies can be seen in Jim Corbett. The national park is extra superior with the presence of black bucks, Himalayan bears, and Indian grey mongoose. Corbett Park is also a home for many migratory birds’ like- peacocks’ eagles and parakeets. Many Himalayan birds retreat in this national park to getaway the tremendous condition.

It is the part of gunfire hunk in the Corbett. It is well-known for excellence of game hunting.

Jhirna:-

Best time to visit Corbett is November to June. Tiger came out of deep forest in summer so it’s the best season to be in Corbett. Normally the park open from 6 am to 11 am in the morning and 2.30pm to 5.30 pm in the evening.

Air: Delhi is the closest airport from Corbett & its located 275 KMS from the park.
Train: Morababad has more trains from major cities of India is only 90 KMS far. Ramnagar station which is at a distance of just 10KM connects the park with express trains to Delhi. Another option is Moradabad which is has more connectivity from major cities of India is at a distance of just 90 KM from the park.
