Kinshasa is a very small municipality residing in the wide open arms of the Republic of Congo, Africa. You don’t need to look at the size of the thing to evaluate the worth of a place and same is the case with Kinshasa. It may be small when we compare it to the cities such as Cairo or Cape Town, but it definitely has its positive offering that makes it unique. You may know it already but I will tell you that Kinshasa holds the pride of being the largest city in the Republic of Congo and also being the Capital of the prized country.Kinshasa city is situated in the sub Saharan cities of Africa which definitely gives the signals of red hot environment. Yes, the city is always blazing with hazy heat waves that keep hitting the city walls with the ferociousness of an unharnessed wild animal that intends on killing whatever comes within its reach.

But still, life doesn’t stop with the comings of hardships but still it must be so difficult for the people of Kinshasa top survive here. Never the less they ARE surviving and keeping the city growing larger by far.The location of Kinshasa city is equatorial. It has the highest rate of precipitation and the thunderstorms are just legendary in this area. The rain thunderstorms are especially unbelievingly ferocious. When they hit the city it is almost like they are washing away the city with them. These are known as ‘Simooms’ and they have their rave and awe stored in the pages of history. And because of these massive rains, the area has got one of the most amazing rain forests of the world by far. The jungles are so fresh and lush that they look absolutely refreshing to the eyes.

Kinshasa is the second largest city in the Sub Saharan Africa and third largest in the continent.It lies face to face with the Brazzaville, capital if Republic of Congo. It is the only location in the world where two capitals are facing each other on two banks of a river. Rather a quite unique quality. Congo River is the dividing factor in this case. Kinshasa is both a city and a province just like Paris.Kinshasa holds many important buildings and a few skyscrapers as well.Supermarkets, hotels,plazas,Kinshasa Museum and Kinshasa Fine Arts academy show us that development of city is on a positive road. Many international industries are located in Kinshasa including famous banks.

Kinshasa is home to many good standard educational institutes. We find high level schools, colleges and universities offering vast subject selection like journalism, engineering, medicine, nursing etc. Arts schools are well reputed and quite famous.
Kinshasa has a strong media. There are many radio stations and television stations.They broadcast throughout the city. Press is also very strong in the city.State controlled Press agencies provide daily or weekly newspapers and news websites. BBC news is also available on radio of Kinshasa. French is the most commonly used language in Kinshasa.
