Call of Juarez: Bound in BloodBy: Sandra PriorArticle Word Count: 190 words [Comments (0)] Total Views: 15 Views |

Allowing players to fight with anything from knives to cannons, Bound in Blood has an interesting array of combat mechanics. The Xbox triggers either fire both weapons if they are equipped, or one will control the zoom in the case of a single rifle or revolver. There are some slow-motion sequences, either scripted or triggered by the player upon getting enough kills. Showdowns bring to mind the spaghetti Westerns, slow and tense, with a quick-draw deciding the winner. Ray is the dual-wielding, close-combat proponent while Thomas makes use of knives and rifles to get his point across. The inclusion of optional side quests (far more fun than the main ones) makes Call of Juarez: Born in Blood a fun, if sometimes frustrating, game.
